| Been playing with a guardian for quite some time and I love the class , but for sertain missions I feel like I really can't contribute much. Any ideas for some builds for guild missions and dungeons? | |

| Depends what you want: support, tanky, damage or balanced? | |

| i quite liked my one with 0/30/0/30/10. With berserker armor and accuracy stuff as sigils. Jewels are berserk with some vit. Rings are prec, toughness and sth else.
Decent surv with pretty high dmg

| My current build which work nice for solo and instances and large group WwW (not as good for solo pvp) are:
0 10 = II 30 = VI V XI 30 = II VIII XI 0
I pretty much used every build I could put together and truth is, I love too much about the guardian. There are too many good things, so very hard to chose. However I really like this build. I have great damage, I regain so much health all the time. In Pve i use: GS + Shield/scepter in WvW I use: GS + Staff (sometimes I use Hammer too)
I have the rune of the soldier, as I use a lot of shouts atm., so its a great way to lose more conditions with.
I have good power in my gear. Most of my gear is with power+crit/precision and toughness.

| I used to have a lot of point in traits/virtues (IX). Epic to remove conditioner with, but I also wanted the more power and heal, and therefor I changed to soldier rune which remove conditioner on shouts.
I always change my utilities for the situation. If you enter a dungeon and know the boss fight, you change to the current situation. So I always ask the group to wait for me until my cooldown's er ready, and I can change skills. The ½ min they have to wait for this, is better, and the group get whats best for the fight.
3 shouts I use a lot is: "Stand Your Ground", "Safe Yourself", "Hold the Line".
The elite I use most is: "Tome of Courage". I sometimes change to "Renewed Focus", but it was much better then I had more traits in virtues.

| use tome of curage aswell.
Fir PVE i always suge signet that gives less dmg, dunno name+i swap between the shouts Balli mentioned.
For WvW i use Sanctuary, Wall of reflection and Save Yourselves. First 2 ones are amazing in WvW.

| Yes same, in WvW Sancturary is awesome, same for wall of protection. I use as well the signet that reduce damage with 10% now and then (signet of judgment). | |

| I based my current build on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO_HST0FuZ0Made the 7-9 skills (sigil of retribution, hold the line and safe yourself) because you got high power, which means high retaliation. This build, with some tweaking, gives nice damage and survival. I like it, but that's preference. |

| I am totally impressed by this build. What do you think about it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAg49ziVUqMHis Guard just heals every time he crits and he crits the whole time. I would like to try it on GCF but first I need to know if it is worth it. When I get my commander title, such a frontline commander could be REALLY frightening for the enemy zerg plus your zerg gets more confident and follows you instead of fighting at one spot for 10 minutes. W8ing for you replies | |

| That looks great! Guess I gotta get back to my ranger to make some money, level up my guardian with crafting, and get him geared up. It's a shame there ain't no knight's gear dungeon gear though. |
