Enough PvPers

I think we should go easy on the PvPers. Im not saying that i dont like the pvp action but its enough now. We need some more Pvxers. I would stop recruiting pvpers and refuse ppl that ask to join. The balance is shifting too hard. Im no full pvper and i know many others arent too so we should focus on pvxers or pvers or wvwers for a while.

Actively recruiting PvP players doesn't happen that much, it's mostly friends of players that join or people that are impressed with our skills. Why stop that?
The WvW and PvE recruiting officers can do some active recruiting aswel.

Our only recruiting officer is Pulox... who is barely online.

Raven recruits almost every single guildless pvper he meets, however.

Im ok with real friends getting in. But they have to be real friends and not guys youve played a few matches with. Btw this doesnt count for raven cause he makes friends with every guy in pvp, so he can inv noone anymore xD

The balance won't change as long as new PvE/WvW people don't join. I don't even remember seeing any PvE members join since I joined more than a month ago.

But I think we do have a decent numbers of pvping people now, I wouldn't recruit any more. At some point the PvErs will come to PvP anyway!

Well have to think about a strategy for more wvw and pve players indeed. I say we hold on with pvpers until balance is restored

It is totally ok to have many PvP Members, and I don't think we should stop inviting players with a focus on PvP. Anyway it would be really fun to have players to play with in Fractals/WvW/Boss Events and Dungeons. It is not that much fun to do alone, I kinda miss the good old days with a strong PvE and WvW core...

Ya i know Beef, sorry i haven't been much there, i would love to run a fractal soon again. And whenever im doing bossfights, im shouting in guild chat whenever its up xD

Really, the only people I pve with nowadays are Nex, and Titus very occasionally.

Lets focus a bit more on pve/wvw recruitment. We got a full pvp team, almost 2 full groups.. But ofc not everyone is online at the same time

To be honest i don't see a reason to get more pve players. If you want to get in a dung you go to lfg
and get some speed runners that do it in 10 min.WvW is pretty much dead last time i checked 90% of the time i've spend in wvw was just running around 8% was killing npc's and 2% were actual fights so the only thing left is pvp which is IMO the end game of gw2.
Besides WE NEED TO BE ESPORTS!1!!!111! in pvp!! top10 must be pk!! yolo!

I'm fairly sure that there is no real end-game in gw2.

It's not exactly fun doing dungeons with people you dont know, and those zerg-v-zerg fights when I commanded last time. Damn girl o_o

Let's take a little trip into the past of pK. There were days where there was NOBODY to PvP. But some people got interested and we started teaming up. We were happy if we could get 3 people in a party to Pvp, requiring only 2 PUGS instead of 4.

PvE and WvW where very active though! Just ask for a dungeon run and you had a full party. Wanted to go roaming for WvW and there were always people interested.

So when I became PvP officer (after Night's amazing job at it!) I had real pressure to live up his quality. We, the regular PvP'ers, all agreed there were more PvP players needed.

So first we looked at the guild itself, get people interested. But that didn't work. We tried recruiting, didn't work either. So we just started GloB to play together more.

Now recruitment went way better. And how many PvP players do we have? 15.
How many members? 90. So that's 16.5% PvP'ers of the entire guild. That means the other 83.5% are WvW and PvE.

So if we take a look at those numbers, I don't feel we got to many PvP players. In a PvX guild the balance should be equal. So in fact we should double our PvP players

And besides that, don't put it all on PuloX either! He's doing what he can to recruit people. Might I remind you of Aeon? He wasn't an officer, but he recruited a lot of PvE players. You don't need that officer tag to be helpful in the guild. As dana and tripz always put it: we have a flat structure, everybody can help.

But back to the numbers. 83.5% of the guild is WvW or PvE. Now you gonna say, yeah, but a lot of them didn't log in in a long time! Ok, granted. But how does that come? RL, lost interest, ... Options are plenty.

Maybe our PvE/WvW officers should put some efford into getting more PvE/WvW people active in our guild. Or find new people to join us.

That is way more effective than shutting down the PvP players who are rolling great in the guild. We got constant PvP parties, we have fun while playing, ...

So instead of 'qqing' (so to say) about the 'huge' amount of PvP players (which are in fact only 16.5% of the guild), start working on PvE and WvW as we have done with PvP in the past.

If I see a potential player with skills (like Doom and Amphi) I won't deny them a guild invite.

Im ok with more pvp players getting in but we neef to tone it down a notch. Maybe 16.5% if guild but like 60% of active guild

Then we either need a PvE and WvW officer, or our General Officer has to step up here.

And if so many people are inactive, why are they still in the guild then? They are mostly PvE/WvW and if there is a soft-member limit, we should make sure they're active, no? Guess that's our task as officers. To keep people active in our 'game-area'.

You can encourage them though. Or remove inactives to make room for new and active people.

I see a lot of ppl that were inactive for the past 2 or 3 months... i mean c'mon every normal guild would just kick those ppl and make place for new more active folks.

Nah, jk. But really, the most organized thing ever happening aside from GMs is PvP. We're PvX for crying out loud ;_;

I think that this is because people aren't on forum, actually. Remember those 5 events that I tried to organize and made it happen? Nor do I, because guess what, lack of forum replies!

Since he's promoted now: I suggested titus to be WvW officer. Dana and Tripz made him general officer it seems. I don't know what it entails. And neither does titus himself it seems. So I suggest titus starts working on WvW/PvE activity. And/or replace inactive officers, again. (becoming officer seems to be you final weeks in gw2 since most of them went inactive, rip Mr. T. and Bunny!)

Or let Pulox be WvW officer, he seems to like it. And titus can do PvE. And in a month or 3-5 PvE and WvW can be active again.

Be happy you got the PvP players. Half year ago pK was dead. Thanx to the PvP players pK is still around.

Pulox as a wvw officer makes more sense, really, because he does it more than he does PvE.

I think a general officer is a leader but uh... less...
