More in topic, i haven't quite understood how the tournament works..is it direct elimination? It says that if the match goes on for >3 min both lose, so what happens there?

Ye, you get randomly 'queued' against somebody else (done before it starts).
Everybody fights 1st round. Best out of 3. Winners go to Round 2 and then you have again boo3 and so on.
If time runs out (so we don't run bunker bunker cause certain bunkers (certainly rangers) can take a long time to kill somebody but eventually make the kill due to fatigue and mistake of the other player), both players lose, so nobody continues to the next round.

It's 'bracket' style. You won't fight everybody (which I don't like personally and I wouldn't do in a pK tournament, which I'm thinking of planning myself sometime in the near future)

If there are 3 people ending being the last competitors, they'll fight 2x best out of 3 to determine the winner on 'most wins' I guess. Not sure how Eyia is gonna do that.

Maybe we should do a bit less good next time. We beat them in 3v3's and 4v4's with 2 rangers in our team. We beat them 1v1 (almost anybody of us wins of them or inconclusive). I fear they might rage quit the game forever if our pvx guild keeps kicking their ass :-p lol couldn't resist :-/

There were 8 participants. Best of 3, so 2 wins was enough. Night and I were both undefeated finalists and I eventually ended up undefeated champion ( I want a guild rank for that ).

Nah-ah sel. You haven't been tested in pK yet, we got some great 1v1'ers who weren't in the ReVo 1v1 tournament! You'll have to win your stripes with us

I wrecked you noz. And zira's mesmer. And i beat zira in a ranger vs ranger fight where he had full hp and i started with 4k hp only.

point is that everybody can beat everybody depending on the classes used. Skills are rather equal in our GloB group.
