ReVo 1v1 tourney 21/09/14

The post:
Next Sunday - 21 Sep the event will be 1v1 tourney.

Place: ReVo Arena
Time: 8 pm BST (British Summer Time), which is GMT+1

The reward for the winner:
A hat (mask, glasses)

The Rules:
Any profession is allowed
You can’t change your profession
The Elites are On
Changes in the build/ skills are allowed
Dc counts as a loss
If the fight lasts longer than 3 minutes without the players to be able to kill each other, it counts as a lost for both of them.

How it will be organized:
1. The signups will be here. Post the name of your character and class. Like this:
T N T Eyia, engeneer
2. Best of 3
3. We’ll start with eliminations, untill only 2 players left
4. Last 2 players will play a final do decide the winner
5. If the initial number of players is multiple of 3, we’ll have 3 players who have to compete for the first place. Then one of the losing players from the previous matches, who have won 1 round will be added to the final 4. If more than 1 player have won a round, one of them will be chosen by vote.


The opponents will be chosen randomly like we do it every time.

Who is not allowed to take part:

Turret engi
Longbow ranger
PU mesmer
MM necro
Spirit weapon guardian

Feel free to ask questions, to post suggestions and comments.

Don't we have ToG on the 21st? If they don't collide, sure, I'm up!

That's part of why I said I might be late. ToG ends at 21CEST normally.

Well, my guild matters a little more to me than other guilds, so...

Just tell me when the tourney starts. If it starts-finishes before ToG, I'm coming. If they collide at any time, it's a no-go

Noz for the third time tourney is from 16-21 cest. Both Saturday and Sunday. So it's possible. They will probably even wait for us if we got people joining.

Well, they ain't that good either noz. It all depends on the builds they play. A noob MM necro get into the finals last time I joined them...

If ppl play mm necro in 1v1 tournaments what's the point in participating anyway..?

Oh right. You have to apply with them night :/ I'm getting the 'guildfriend' treatment cause I'm helping with out with their premade team.

No point in applying i think..the pvp i do is with pk, i'd be kicked after a week probably:P

How does it work the tournament anyway? Fees, rewards, structures, class/skills limitations and so on..

If it's not free well, atm i've got like 17g in inventory, plus i don't wanna do beneficence to one of the cheese op unbalanced gw2 builds..i really hope there are some rules like the ones you see in the 1v1 servers (e.g. on elites and so on)

EDIT: No fees required. It's free and normally ReVo leadership gives the winner a price (I've know gem shop hats, Black Lion Keys, ...)

Then i'm totally up for it are you sure that it's open to non revo members though..? Who else is going to participate? I guess you raven are, right?

Edit: what about rules? Any particular rule like build limitations and so on? Which map is it going to be? The usual 1v1 nifhleim spot?

Build limitation: see OP. (elites are all allowed I guessed, certain classes (MM necro, turret engi and a couple others) are banned
Rules: they'll tell them on TS (where you can run and so), but you wait for eyia to count down (on ts) then you fight till death. DC means LOSS most of the times.
Map: Foefire Graveyard most likely due to the 'where can you run' rule

As a friend of the ReVo guild, they've extended me the privilege of 'inviting' you guys (being pK) to their events too. That way they get more people too.
2 or 3 weeks ago me and Sel helped them out a lot by joining their 3v3 (they were 2 guys short for 4 3-man teams)

Then sign me up, i'm totally up for some 1v1 fun! Do i have to decide now which profession bring right? I'm unsure about mesmer or engi..not banning phantasm mesmer makes me wanna bring my mes but dunno..

So crap like moa elite is allowed right..?
