| I find the game becoming rather easy after you got a certain amount of territories. for rome: italy + cartage + greece Iceni: Brittany + france Parthia: the little tribes in the east of the map from north to south (not further then the province of parthia itself into the west though!)
After I had those parts for those factions, it was just steamrolling (on Very Hard - Legendary difficulty mind you). |

| *coughs out his choco he was drinking* Calling very hard difficult?? Titus, my man, Rome 2 needs some upping. (or something is wrong with my AI) - rome always gets destroyed before I come near them - the ai uses the tier 1 mobs as main army force - the ai rarely attacks me - the ai rarely uses his numbers against me (only when I attack their armies when they're together and even then he rushes in the first army and then the second after the first is already routed) |

| hmmm very weird. On my brother's game Rome is getting pretty powerful, after him as Suebi they're the 2nd strongest faction. I admit they use quite weak units vs me aswell but wouldnt say tier 1. But not that good i admit. I get attacked quite a lot actually, especially backstabs on unprotected cities when they come out of nothing. They Always use shit ton of numbers against me. Still win though Maybe the game just knows you suck balls and makes itself weaker vs you | |

| You leave cities unprotected :O I always make sure I got a sea at my back or the end of the map. If that's not possible (aka you're playing rome and are in itally, carthage, egypte and greece) you must make client states as buffers (or trustworthy naps/allies) and keep atleast 1 army per area (meaning I had an army in the carthage region, egyptian region, greek region and 2 in the france region (because it bordered spain and germany, so I had 2 borders to protect) The other 3-4 armies were pure assault armies (aided by the local 'garrison army')
Atm, I'm doing epirus with just 2 armies, gonna need to make a 3rd because I'm going to recruite helenic royal guards and I don't wanna disband my hoplites, so making 3 mixed armies out of 2 armies. It's even possible with 1 army, but that slows it down a lot (no more movement after capturing a city) |

| i never leave bordertowns unprotected but some times they go around my line of sight and attack cities beyond our border.
Started with Parthia, the starting point is pretty darn hard. | |

| Yeah, try going to war with your allies, baktria and the people north of your allies, all at the same time. That's harder then fighting the seleucid empire and all of it's satrapies. |

| i passed the first phase. Destroyed Baktria, Aria and Parthava. Now i can slowly work my way east. Using all cav which is fun but i dont feel as powerful as i did using legionaires with Rome | |

| Yeah. Nothing gives me that feeling either. I used to roll 5 infantry units , 5 archers and 10 cavalry units. Inf for pinning the enemy and cavalry fir a rear charge. It was faster and more destructive then legions. But did not give that powerful feeling. |

| What inf, its just all crap with Parthia. Coming from having armies with only Praetorians or even Praetorian Guard as inf there inf is plain silly | |

| The elite swordman are ok for holding the line. They just gotta keep the line for about 1 minute till my cav gets behind the pinpointed enemy line. After that it's 10seconds massacre. |

| Yeah, cartage is pretty tough to start. You're just so divided. I should do that campaign sometime. |
