Rome II is AWESOME

As you've maybe noticed i'm on very little/none these days. My new game, Rome II is just too cool. Maybe ill pop in for living story achievs but that's it for a while prob.

Same here titus. Although i got the feeling rome was a bit op'ed. I'm having a harder time starting as the iceni.

Hey titus, you tried parthia yet? It feelw even more epic than romans. An entire army sweeped clean in seconds by those cataphracs. The iceni are pretty nice too.

Still working on Rome. Going pretty good atm. 45 countries and i just established the roman empire after the civil war

Only now?? Lol, just joking titus. I had about 70 settlements after 4 days of playing with rome, fought the civil war on the evening of day 2 and the morning of day 3. (as iceni i had a civil war after about 50 turns already doomed to fail, it doesn't scale at all. I had 3 full armies and 1 halffull fleet, he had 6-8 full armies and 5-6 full fleets with elite units)
Parthia has now 20-22 settlements (not sure), 3 armies with elite units and a perfect civil balance after 2 days and destroying the seleucid empire with all his satrapies.

what sucks for Parthia is that skirmish mode is just ridiculous. Works like shit

True, but that's always been the issue with TW games. The units should 'sprint' out, not double time out and shoot again, now it's just an endless chase.
But I don't use horse archery, just 5x elite infantry + 5x elite achers as a base attack/defence 'pin the enemy' force. Then 10x cataphracts to finish the army completely off.

It's more exciting then rome some times. Cause you know your legionaires don't break the line. My proud babies defended against 3x as many greeks, an heroic victory.

btw i have a problem. How can i build a ship wharf as Rome? I have enough technology but when i want to upgrade a dock i get 3 possibilities but not the shipwharf one. This means i can only get a mediocre fleet

Yeah, same problem here. Conquer egyptian coastal cities, then 'reform' them to roman shipwarfs

found problem. You need a provincial coastal capital. So Brundisium for Rome works great.

70 countries now, fcking Atrittion prolonged my campaign in Germania for ages. Now im gonna hit Illyria and Greece. Then work up to Dacia and Scythia.

My next campaing is prob gonna be Parthia on Hard

Trust le very hard is still easy. I never go lower. But dont try legendary. I am 3 turns in and all the factions around me declared war on me already

this is to aweful! I was fighting sparta outnumbered 3:1, so i had no chance of victory on turn 12, legendary difficulty. I was on the point of winning the battle after all, CTD!!

History actually is proof that Dacians were no match for Romans, im mearly saying that you are lucky to hit our lands in the times before great leaders came to rule. We fought Turks, Austro-hungarians and even Huns... dafuq does everyone wants from a poor country like mine ...
