Problem with laptop

Hello people

Recently, when I started up GW2, it had the usual blackscreen. On my laptop, it goes like that for like 2 minutes, but this time it just went on infinitely. When I restarted my computer, it had the Dell loading screen (my laptop is a Windows 8 Dell computer, btw) and then had a blackscreen for like 5 minutes, then it gave me a screen saying "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. Please wait while we collect data and then restart your computer for you" and after like one second it goes again to the Dell loading screen, but it says "Preparing automatic repair" for a minute, then blackscreen for a minute, then "Your PC ran into a problem" screen and then the cycle goes on and on and on. Shutting down and opening doesn't work, and after running a boot test, it says that the hard drive is fucked up. I called Dell, they told me to make a tech transfer (as I got my laptop from US) and I did, but it needs 7-10 business days to register everything. So I thought, why not ask my guildies? Anyone know what I can do?

FYI, I will have limited access to GW2 now, as the room-wide computer is almost always taken, and is prone to crashing :S

Do you get any kind of pop-ups with choices?
Is there any way you can access the /cmd? If you can get into your /cmd, you can run a full drive test and let it auto-restore itself. Might fix your problem.
Otherwise, if you have your original setup (very 1st use of the laptop) backed up, you can use that cd to boot your pc again and reset it completely to that original setup. You'd lose your data, but the laptop should be working.

Other then that, I stay clear from these things unless I see it happening. Cause black screens, they can mean a lot.

no popups with choices. No way to get to the /cmd. It's as if my computer is starting up and stuck there. I might have my original setup. But the thing is, the Hard Drive is just dead

Can you access your motherboard setup? Bios and such?

Otherwise, wait for tripz, he knows a lot about pc's.

Basicly, easiest is to have a program to let somebody else access your pc. (forgot the name) You keep full control, but the other person can do everything required to fix your pc. In your case that's not possible unfortunatly.
Otherwise Tripz might have been able to fix all of our problems for ingame gold xD

Hehe. Or I could just wait two weeks for Dell to fix it. Which i cannot be arsed to do

Iam way to tired now, and I might just give you the wrong advise -.-

What you an do so long for me is to boot up your pc, and keep pressing "F8" key until you see dos menu with options you can choose

1st option to try is "last known good configuration"

if that doenst work choose : "safe mode" - if your able to get into safe mode
do a "system restore" to earlier date that worked

if the safe mode option doesn't work choose : Disable automatic restart - and tell me what error code you get when its starting up
