| Who of you would like to play some GW1 in 2014?
The plan would be to create a new character and do everything possible. If not that, just the campaigns.
I would start with NF, then GWEN, FC, and PROP, because getting the Attribute Points in NF is the easiest.
Who would like to? |

| If we're gonna wait for Ryo (we are), let's make it in February, that's when I finish my exams.
EDIT: Who of those who have played GW1 can play monk? I want experience on healing, even though I'll be a Paragon. |

| Never even played gw1 :s , but I prefer bunker/healer types tbh. Though I'm not sure I'm willing to buy it 2014 is going to be an expensive year already and I made some big expenses in the holiday season already and I ain't got a vacation job... |

| Well my 2 main characters were monk and necro But as you know skills have been changed over the years. And monks are not only healers |

| You'd need to at least get all the campaigns done, and that's the absolute minimum.

| Is GW1 free-to-play now? Or I still have to pay for a licence? i've never played GW1 but since i love GW2, i'd like to try GW1
edit: there is a freetrial at the moment. Not sure how long it will last or what are the restriction (http://www.guildwars.com/freetrial/) |

| 1. It has always been free-to play. 2. Be prepared, GW1 is a completely different game. 3. Trials used to be (I think) 2 weeks or 10h. |

I think he means: you buy it, then it's free to play (no subscription fee) |

maybe but is not correct XD free to play - you download the game and play it for free (LoL) buy to play - you pay for game and play it for free (gw1,gw2) pay to play - you pay for game and for monthly fee (WoW) freemium - free with limitations that you don't have if you pay (SWTOR) - Mini Knoma wrote:

| It is completely different than GW2 in the following aspects:
-from 4 to 12 men team -skills require energy and recharge to cast, unlike GW2, where you just need for them to recharge -armors are all the same, different kinds of runes change their stats (well, the heavy/medium/light armor distinction is present) -no evading/jumping -no weapon skills -you can have skills of 2 different professions -everyone gets their own copy of the world (only you walk on a certain map, unless it is a city)
I'll add more as soon as I recall some other stuff. |

| Yeah like chlapa said it's a carpg instead of a mmo. (Cooperative Action RPG) You have the 3 standard roles Tank, healer/protection, dps. The game has instanced areas and in towns you meet with people. You can actually play this game all by yourself if you want to. There are heros and henchman you can take on your journeys to form a team.
The different areas you can explore and pick up quests along the way and then there are mission outposts where you pick up missions. Missions are the main story line in the game. Each mission has also a bonus.
The skills you can buy or cap. Especially elite skills you need to kill a special enemy of that type and with a signet you can cap their elite skills
You have attributepoints which you can distribute. And you can reskill for free in town. (You can save your skills as a template) A skillset perfect for one area can be useless in the next.
In a lot of ways (especially the diversity) i prefer gw1. You can have endless combinations of skills which makes the classes hard to master, but fun to play |
